Online Application


The VDOE has created an online application process to streamline the initial licensure process. Currently, this process is only available to first-time VA teaching license applicants.


To complete an online application:

  1. Click here to create an online account.

  2. Fill out the online application.

  3. Write down/Remember your PK-ID number.

  4. Please send [email protected] a copy of your completed online application with your PK-ID number.

  5. Retain a copy of your fee payment for future reference.

  6. Upload the rest of your documents to the online portal.

  8. If you completed an online application before 11/29/2023, please click here for more information.  Do not create a new account.


A PK-ID number will not generate until you pay the appropriate fee through the link above.

Please note you can have electronic or hard copy official transcripts sent to [email protected].

You cannot upload transcripts to the portal as they will be unofficial once you open them.


Retrieving Licensure Copies and Documents
