Summer Reading

Summer Reading logo

Reading, whether for pleasure or learning, has a great number of benefits. Reading can expose us to the thoughts, worlds, and experiences of others that we might not ordinarily have. The act of reading can create students who are emotionally intelligent, equity-minded, academically prepared, resilient, and innovative. The more we read, the more we learn!

Click the buttons below to learn more about the expectations for summer reading for your child.

Copies of texts can be found in your local branch of the Newport News Public Library, on the SORA app, and at local bookstores should you desire to purchase the book.
